What is the difference between design and decor?

In educational design, whether studying or learning, there is a big misconception that design is understood as decor, but they are two different things. Decor is more about beauty , while design focuses more on function, arrangement of things and human experience and life in addition to giving beauty, so while decor adds beauty to a place, design also gives it meaning.

A designer\'s job is not just to attract things, but to solve problems using beauty that has a purpose or function. Every line, texture, every color must have meaning, must be directly related to the concept Do something, serve a concept or function. 

A beautifully decorated space may attract attention, but a designed space leaves a lasting impression because it conveys meaning, improves functions, and effective design combines reason and emotion.
